Orientation Parking and Directions

Orientation Parking

Attendees must use the Orientation Parking available for new students and families in the Floyd Street Parking Garage, located at 2126 South Floyd Street.  The gates to the permit side of the garage (the entrance across the street from the playground, near McDonald's) will be up upon your arrival. Please go to the 4th level of the garage to park. If all spaces on the 4th level are full, you may use the 3rd level. You may park in orange or blue spaces in the garage. Once parked, take the 3rd floor walkway across the train tracks. Take the elevator or stairs to the street level.  There is no cost to you to park in this garage for New Cards Orientation.

Directions to Orientation Parking in the Floyd Street Garage

The exits for the University of Louisville are directly off of I-65 North or South.

  1. If coming from I-265 (Gene Snyder) or I-264 (Watterson Expressway), you will want to head North on I-65.
  2. If coming from I-71 South or I-64 East or West, you will want to head south on I-65.

Directions if Traveling I-65 South:

(I-65 is accessible from I-71, I-64 and I-264)

  1. Take I-65 South (Toward Nashville), to the Arthur Street exit (Exit 134). If you reach the Fairgrounds / Watterson Expressway exits, you have gone too far.
  2. Continue to the first stop sign, Arthur Street and Brandeis Avenue.
  3. Turn right onto Cardinal Boulevard.
  4. Turn left (3rd exit off of roundabout) onto Floyd Street.
  5. Turn right at the 2nd stoplight into permit side of the garage.

Directions if Traveling I-65 North:

(I-65 is accessible from I-71, I-64 and I-264)

  1. Take I-65 North (Toward Indianapolis) to the University Blvd exit (west 134).
  2. Turn left onto University Blvd at the end of the exit ramp.
  3. Turn right onto Floyd Street.
  4. The Floyd Street Garage will be on your left at the 1st stoplight.
