Students are admitted to begin in the Fall term only. Criteria for admission to the program includes the following:

  • completed application form, including application fee of $60
  • submission of undergraduate grade point average (Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to apply)
  • submission of GRE scores (Minimum cumulative score of 300 to apply)
  • three letters of recommendation from persons familiar with your academic preparation
  • an interview with the admissions committee

The criteria listed above are program minimums. The Audiology Program adheres to the minimum guidelines for doctoral and master's graduate education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine (check this link Med School Min Req).  Students meeting these criteria are not guaranteed admission. The program in Audiology adheres to the Essential Functions policy for all students.  Applications must be completed and received by January 1st. Interviews and campus tours are generally scheduled for February with admissions decisions completed soon thereafter. Applications should be completed on-line.

Prerequisites

Students who apply to our program are expected to have completed undergraduate course work in the following areas:

  • Life Sciences - which may include Human Anatomy, Physiology, Neuroanatomy, Neurophysiology, Genetics
  • Physical Sciences - which may include Physics, Inorganic and Organic chemistry
  • Behavioral Sciences - which may include Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology
  • Mathematics - which may include Mathematics beyond College Algebra, Statistics
