Lisa Cooper has worked in the Information Security Office as an Information Security and Compliance Analyst for over a year. During that time she has conducted training sessions throughout the campus community for over 500 faculty, staff and students. In addition to being a graduate of the University of Louisville, Lisa also has over 20 years of experience working at the University in clinical, technical, and information assurance roles. Much of her experience stems from her time working in the Enterprise Security area of Information Technology. This is where she acquired over ten years of knowledge resulting in a collection of the most common technical mistakes made by campus users. With this information she has developed easy to follow actions that can be shared to help others avoid them. She explains the necessity of protecting information. Lisa will also cover technical solutions such as encryption, virus protection, patching, and passwords.  Her experience and problem solving expertise allows her to utilize real life examples making the subject matter relatable. The audience will receive usable information security solutions in a format that any skill level can understand.
