Neuro-Oncology Symposium 2021: Acoustic Neuroma – From Diagnosis to Restoration - May 15, 2021

Acoustic Neuroma is diagnosed in approximately 2,000-3,000 people per year in the United States. Though usually benign tumors, they can cause significant symptoms including hearing loss, tinnitus, issues with balance, headache, facial weakness and/or facial paralysis. Though the cause of acoustic neuromas is usually unknown, once diagnosed there are three main treatment options available to the patient: observation, surgical resection, and radiation. Regardless of the treatment modality chosen, acoustic neuromas affect patients for the rest of their lives. In this course, our speakers will discuss acoustic neuroma from diagnosis to treatment to restoration.
