Compliance Risk and Investigation Division
In 2007, the HSC Office of Compliance moved to a new level of compliance by adding a new element to the department. The Compliance Risk and Investigation Division became an active participant in the business of compliance for the U of L Health Sciences Center. Our current risk manager is:
- Angela Brown, CCS-P, CHC, PCS - Manager of Compliance Risk and Investigations
While the Risk and Investigation Division does not serve as the “compliance police”, we hope that by maintaining an open door policy that all providers and staff of the HSC will view this division as an asset to the campus and use it as a resource for reviewing and investigating situations in which there may be questions. Providing documentation and chart reviews, audits, specialized education and source documentation review and approval, along with working with providers to refund, correct and re-file provided services we seek to “learn enough from blunders to correct them eventually.”
