Freeing Your Voice: Basic Tips for Speaking Well
I believe that a voice is most powerful when it is truly in tune with the speaker’s thoughts and feelings and when that speaker is sufficiently free of self-consciousness and tension to allow those feelings and ideas to be heard. Then our voices are our greatest source and means for creative and passionate discourse. This workshop is designed to help people strengthen and free their voices through a process of self-observation. Each of us is born with a naturally strong, vibrant voice which, through the process of socialization, may have lost much of its natural expressiveness. But, through exploration, relaxation, breath support and resonance, we can regain some of that lost gift. And most importantly, I hope you'll discover your true voice: that is, some part of what you want to say about yourself and the world around you.
