A renovation whose time has come

UofL’s facility has remained largely untouched for 38 years.  While the teaching and practice of dentistry has progressed greatly over the decades, much of the equipment and infrastructure is old and must be updated or replaced.

Modernizing our classrooms & clinics

To ensure future students receive the same caliber education as our alumni did, the school is embarking on a multimillion-dollar building renovation. The renovations will raise the standard for the entire School of Dentistry Building to that of the school’s pediatric and orthodontic clinics, which are state of-the-art facilities; thanks to alumni and friends who provided funding to transform the clinics.

Expected enhancements:

• Infrastructure— Air compressors, high-speed evacuators, lighting, air conditioning, heating
• Operatory Equipment— Chairs, lights, cabinetry, touch-screen computer terminals
  
• Clinical Education Support— 21st century computer programs necessary for education and clinical treatment, paperless records, digital X-rays, improved waiting rooms
