Kentucky Dataseam Scholarship Application

Please use this page to apply for the Kentucky Dataseam Scholarship by January 15, 2019.

The University of Louisville Dataseam Scholarship provides ten $2,000 renewable scholarships each year. Eligible students are high school seniors from schools in coal severance counties participating in the Kentucky Dataseam Initiative (Bell, Boyd, Breathitt, Caldwell, Carroll, Clay, Crittenden, Daviess, Elliot, Floyd, Hancock, Hopkins, Johnson, Knott, Lawrence, Lee, Letcher, Martin McLean, Menifee, Morgan, Muhlenberg, Oho, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Rowan, Trigg, Union, Webster, Whitley, Wolfe.)

Students must meet the University of Louisville's admission standards and pursue a degree in science, technology, engineering or math while attending the University of Louisville. Other criteria include a demonstrated interest in mathematics, sciences, or engineering as expressed by high school curriculum and participation in science clubs and related activities. Students must maintain a 3.0 college GPA for renewal and continue pursuit of math, science, or engineering related field.

The deadline to apply for this scholarship is January 15, 2019.

Applicants must submit the following items in addition to the below application:

  • A completed admissions application on file including a copy of your high school transcript and ACT/SAT score
  • A one-page resume highlighting their academic and extracurricular activities
  • One letter of recommendation from your high school counselor (The individual providing the recommendation should send their letter directly to admitme@louisville.edu with "dataseam scholarship" in the subject line before the January 15, 2019 deadline.)

Applications without these items or applications missing requested information will not be considered for this scholarship.
