Brown Fellows Program

Brown Fellows is a prestigious enrichment program aimed at preparing students for twenty-first century careers.  It is open to residents and non-residents of Kentucky with a 25 ACT or 1130 SAT (CR + M) and 3.35 GPA. The following must be provided: 

          • One essay answering - In 500 words or fewer, please imagine a leadership project you might propose to undertake if you are chosen for the Brown Fellows program. Be as specific and concrete as possible, keeping in mind that your project may evolve over time as you develop it.

          • Letter of recommendation - teacher

          • Letter of recommendation - principal or counselor

          • Letter of recommendation - non-family member or community leader

          • 10 awards given each year

Recipients will be scholarly, well-rounded with diverse academic interests, and have a desire to stay in Kentucky after graduation. The amount of the award will be determined by the committee, but typically will include full tuition, and an allowance for room, board and books.  In addition, each fellow will receive funds to support their individual enrichment plan.  On-campus interviews will be held the weekend of March 26, 2010.  After creating your account above, you can apply for the Brown Fellows Program, as well as any other scholarships and guaranteed entrance programs that you might be eligible for.
