Xiang Zhang joins us in January, 2008 as Associate Professor in our Analytical Chemistry Division. Professor Zhang works in the areas of bioinformatics and bioanalytical chemistry and their application to biomedical problems. His broad education background includes a B.A. in Radiochemistry, an M.S. in Nuclear Physics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Bioanalytical Chemistry from Purdue. He was previously Research Assistant Professor and Director of Computational Life Sciences and Informatics at the Bindley Bioscience Center at Purdue. He as authored more that 45 peer-reviewed publications.

Eugene Mueller joins our Biochemistry Division in the fall of 2007 as Bloch Professor of Chemistry and member of IMD3. His research focuses on the enzymology of RNA modification. He was previously a member of the Chemistry faculty at the University of Delaware. He earned his Ph.D. at Harvard with Professor Jeremy Knowles and was a postdoctoral fellow at CalTech (Professor John Bercaw) and MIT (Professor Joanne Stubbe).
