Human Trafficking Awareness Conference

The Women 4 Women Student Board hosts this annual conference about this modern-day slavery issue in Louisville with local and national speakers. They encourage students and the public to become involved in efforts to make other people aware of the problem and to help stop it.

CODE documentary  exposes the dearth of American female and minority software engineers

And explores the reasons for this gender gap and digital divide. The film highlights breakthrough efforts that are producing more diverse programmers and shows how this critical gap can be closed. CODE asks: what would society gain from having more women and minorities code and how do we get there?

Anti-Street Harassment Week: April 2-8

Come reclaim your personal space back with sidewalk chalk at the Red Barn. Write all the unspoken messages you've wanted to say to harassers and any inappropriate comments that have been said to you. Come show your support to victims by signing a pledge to combat street harassment.

PEACC Take Back the Night

The purpose of the Annual Take Back the Night is to bring together organizations, civic leaders, and individuals of Louisville and Jefferson County to protest violence against women and to promote awareness of the attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, which perpetuate this specific type of violence.

UofL Brown Cancer Center Mammogram Unit (Belknap)

The U of L Women’s Center co-sponsors this event on the Belknap campus each semester.  Mammogram appointments are for U of L employees over the age of 40.  Appointments are requested in advance. Call 852-6318 to schedule.
