William A. Metcalf, JD, is the Associate Vice President for Research Development and Strategic Partnerships at the University of Louisville, co-founder of the Louisville Entrepreneurship Acceleration Programs (LEAP), and a Professor in the Brandeis School of Law, where he is the Director of the Entrepreneurship Law Clinic. 

As Chairman of LEAP, a public-private partnership that amplifies the Louisville region’s ability to attract and grow high-tech companies, Will built a collaboration to support innovation that leverages the region’s unique strengths, including a robust healthcare business cluster and the region's only R1 research university. Will has published in law journals on issues impacting higher education and has presented to numerous conferences. Throughout his career, Will has worked extensively with hospitals, universities, and entrepreneurs, leading both projects and multi-disciplinary teams. Will works closely with the Louisville Healthcare CEO Council. He holds a Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, both from the University of Louisville. In his free time, Will and his wife enjoy spending time with their three children.
