Trey Bauer

Trey Bauer is the Interim Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs Administration. He joined the University of Louisville in 2021. In his role, he manages the strategic and day-to-day operations of the Grants Management Services division which submits proposals and accepts awards for grants from the federal government, state and local government, and non-profit sponsors.

Trey has over a decade of research administration experience, beginning his career at Florida State University before moving to the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the Society of Research Administrators International and is an active volunteer for the National Council of University Research Administrators. He holds the Research Administrators Certification Council’s Certified Research Administrator credential. He holds a BS in International Affairs and History, an MS in International Affairs, and a Master of Public Administration, all from Florida State University.
