Nick Peak

Associate Vice President for Government Affairs

Nick Peak serves as the associate vice president for government affairs at the University of Louisville, overseeing the university’s engagement with state and federal policymakers on issues related to higher education, healthcare and research. With nearly a decade of experience in public budgeting, higher education policy and government relations, Nick’s work focuses on how higher education expands opportunity across the Commonwealth.

Previously, Nick served under the vice president for budget and finance, supporting UofL’s operating and capital budgets, coordinating state budget requests and advising campus leadership on legislative and policy matters. Before joining the university, he worked in nonpartisan roles at the Kentucky General Assembly and the Wisconsin State Budget Office, where he contributed to state budget development and worked closely with legislators and executive agencies in support of public-sector decision-making.

A Louisville native, Nick holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science from the University of Louisville and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
