Commission on Climate, Culture and Well-being

Mission

The University of Louisville Commission on Climate, Culture and Well-Being is dedicated to cultivating a safe, respectful and inclusive university environment in which all members of the university community are empowered to achieve academic, professional and personal success. Through its recommendations and advice to the president on strategic engagement, policy advocacy and adherence to applicable statutory and compliance standards, the commission advances a positive institutional climate, fosters holistic well-being for all, and strengthens the sense of belonging across the campus community.

Vision

The University of Louisville aspires to be a thriving campus community — one where every individual feels deeply valued, respected and empowered. We envision a culture rooted in belonging, accountability and holistic well-being, where all members of the university community are supported in reaching their fullest potential.

Established in 2025 by President Gerry Bradley, the University of Louisville Commission on Climate, Culture and Well-Being (CCCW) is charged with advising the president on policies, planning and actions that advance a campus environment where all individuals feel respected, valued and empowered to thrive. The CCCW serves as a strategic driver of institutional transformation, supporting the creation of a safe, inclusive and supportive university for all. The commission will make recommendations directly to the president.
