Faculty Chamber Music

Faculty artists in both solo and chamber music ensemble performances, including music by Dzubay, Grawemeyer Award winning composers, UofL faculty composers, and other contemporary composers.

Electronic & Computer Music
Tuesday, November 7 • 8:00 pm • Bird Hall
New music for instruments and electronics, featuring guest artist 
Ryan Ingebritsen, music by Dzubay, Ingebritsen, UofL faculty composers, and other contemporary composers, with performances by the composers and UofL faculty artists. 

University Symphony Orchestra
Wednesday, November 8 • 8:00 pm • Comstock Hall
Program will include Light Fantastick for orchestra by Dzubay.

Collegiate Chorale & Cardinal Singers
Thursday, November 9 • 8:00 pm • Comstock Hall
Program will include Cantate Domino and the Fifth Song of Northwest Passages by Dzubay, along with other selections of contemporary choir music. 

Wind Ensemble & New Music Ensemble
Friday, November 10 • 8:00 pm • Comstock Hall
Program will include Symphony No. 2 for wind ensemble by Dzubay, and Cello Concerto by Steven Bryant, featuring faculty artist Paul York.

Monday, November 6

Presentation by Heidi Decker & Steve Rouse (Bird Hall)
Decker will describe and perform selections of her monologues, then she and Rouse will discuss their collaboration on the piece Sacred Art, which will be premiered during the Faculty Chamber Music concert.
