In recognition of Eleanor Roosevelt's rise to First Lady 80 years ago, the McConnell Center has invited author and historian Robin Gerber to discuss how Roosevelt's life provides inspiration for today's leaders.
This free, public discussion marks the second of four events in the McConnell Center's 2013 "Milestones of the 20th Century: Democracy in America" public lecture series.
About the Lecturer
Prior to becoming an author, Robin Gerber practiced labor law in Washington, DC, and worked on Capitol Hill. She has studied and written about leadership development since 1975. Gerber's most recent book is "Barbie and Ruth: The Story of the World's Most Famous Doll and the Woman Who Created Her."
