  • Provide new CTSI pilot support for outstanding new clinical and translational research.

  • Increase awareness of existing UofL and collaborator pilot funding programs.

  • Increase opportunities for collaborative clinical and translational research.

  • Undertake a fundraising program to endow a Clinical and Translational Research Pilot Fund.

Functions

Publishes solicitations for applications, recruits reviewers and assigns grant applications for review. Leads the effort to develop a pool of reviewers from UofL and our multiple partners/collaborators. Oversees the review committees and compiles the reviews into summary statements. Forwards the recommendations of the review committees to the IAC and EAC. Meets with pilot project awardees quarterly to review progress and to direct the awardees to needed resources. Organizes the annual poster sessions at Research!Louisville.
