Aims
Expand the existing metagenomics, proteomics and metabolomics core services to provide tailored OMICS services to the UofL IDeA-CTR and the wider research community.
Play an active and significant role in the education and training of SOS scholars, pilot project PIs, and clinical and translational investigators.
Become an integral and self-sustaining component of the CTSI.

Functions
Responsible for the experimental design of all -omics projects and data analysis strategies, in consultation with the other CTSI Cores and the project PIs. Director of the Proteomics sub-Core and supervisor for the execution of proteomics experiments. Organizes a monthly OMICS Core meeting to coordinate the development of OMICS Core projects, and reports to the CTSI Director. Available to consult with co-directors when the need arises.

Functions
Director of the Metabolomics sub-Core and supervisor for the execution of metabolomics experiments. Coordinates the integration of the metabolomics data analysis results into other ’omics data sets with Drs. Merchant and Rai and the experimental design and data interpretation with the project mentee/mentors. Involved in organizing the monthly OMICS Core meetings.
