Visit the Hite Institute of Art + Design
Is the Hite Institute of Art + Design is the right place for you? Come for a visit and find out!
We invite you to schedule a campus visit to learn more about the University of Louisville and the Hite Institute of Art + Design and the programs we offer. A campus visit is your opportunity to get a firsthand view and can help you decide if this campus is a good fit for you.
For high school students: The Office of Admissions hosts a Campus Visit Program Monday through Friday and one Saturday per month. The program begins at 10:15 a.m. on weekdays and 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays (both times are Eastern Standard Time). Please note that Department visits are only available on Tuesday (the fourth Tuesday of the month is not available), Wednesday, or Thursday, during the week.
Your Admissions campus visit will include the following:
- Information session: a 45-minute information session will begin your visit. A UofL admissions representative will discuss various topics including academic programs, the application process, campus life, scholarships, and financial aid.
- A student-guided tour of campus: a 90-minute tour immediately follows the information session. Learn about the history and traditions that have shaped the university. Visit academic buildings, a residence hall, and the Student Activities Center (SAC). The SAC houses food courts, the bookstore, the Cardinal game room, and recreational facilities.
- You can request to visit the Department of Art + Design when you fill out their online reservation. Be sure to indicate what area(s) you are interested in. Those are typically scheduled in the early afternoon after your morning information session and campus tour are finished.
