The Hite Institute of Art + Design, along with The Sutherland Endowed Chair Lecture Series in Glass Presents: Mark Peiser: The Work Behind the Work. Curated by Dr. Dr. Alysia Fischer, this exhibition offers a rare and intimate look into the creative process of renowned glass artist Mark Peiser
Showcasing the depth of Peiser’s technical mastery and artistic vision, The Work Behind the Work offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the evolution of his work from concept to completion. Many of the objects on display, including preparatory sketches, molds, and models of imagined or completed work, have never been exhibited before, shedding new light on the artist’s meticulous approach to glassmaking.
A reception for the event will take place on Friday March 21 from 5-8pm, with a Q&A and artist talk featuring Mark Peiser and Curator Alysia Fischer beginning at 6:30pm. This event is free and open to the public. We hope you will join us!
