Critical Cardinal Conversations for Incoming First Year Students

The Office of Diversity and Equity partnered with the Office of Admissions to host a Critical Cardinal Conversation for all incoming  UofL students. This virtual meeting held space that allowed students to engage in conversation with UofL faculty and staff who shared similar racial identities. Assistant Director Ashleigh Hazley was one of the staff members asked to help guide students through conversations about race, community, diversity, and inclusion. The meeting began with an ice breaker and brief introductions. Following, students self-selected an affinity group that most identified with. Assistant Director Ashleigh Hazley, was a facilitator for the Black Student Group alongside Karan Chavis and Marian Vasser.
