Test to demo the news portlet functionality
On the right, you will find the News portlet. This will show the most recent published news items added to the site (they have to be added as "News Item," not as a "Page").
All news items for the site must be added here:

The primary difference between a news item and a page: You can add an image as a separate "attachment" to a news item and give it a caption. Note: This does not limit you to one image in a news item. However, the image you select will show in the RSS feed, summary views and other areas where the news item is listed, which is different from a page. Note: This also does not mean you can't add images to a page. You can add images to pages within the content area just as before.
As mentioned earlier, the news functionality also includes the automatic generation of an RSS feed.
