The Elevating Undergraduate Student Success Symposium, hosted by the Office of the Provost on September 29 on the Belknap Campus, brought together faculty, staff, and administrators in support of the University of Louisville’s strategic initiative to enhance student success.

The day included facilitated discussions focused on undergraduate enrollment and retention, interactive sessions highlighting best practices, and opportunities for collaboration among colleagues from across the university. Participants examined data, shared experiences, and explored innovative approaches to strengthening the student experience from admission to graduation.

Attendees were encouraged to keep student input at the forefront of all decisions and initiatives, to identify one actionable idea from the symposium to implement within their area, and to engage in ongoing collaboration through the open meetings of the Student Success Taskforce.

The University’s goal of achieving an 85% retention rate serves as both a measurable outcome and a reflection of a collective commitment to student achievement and well-being. The symposium fostered meaningful dialogue and renewed energy toward this shared purpose, reinforcing the importance of working together to elevate undergraduate student success at the University of Louisville.  Learn more about the the symposium here.
