The University of Louisville Health Sciences Center Campus Office of Health Equity and Engagement hosted Dr. Maia Hightower, MD, MPH, MBA, physician-executive, scholar, and founder of Veritas Healthcare Insights and Viteon Health, for an inspiring Research!Louisville 2025 presentation on responsible artificial intelligence in healthcare.

In her session, From Algorithm to Bedside: Building Trustworthy AI for Healthy Communities, Dr. Hightower explored how innovation can enhance fairness, safety, and patient trust while transforming clinical decision-making. She highlighted the importance of ethical frameworks that ensure technology serves as a tool for equity and improved patient outcomes.
