Parks
Louisville’s parks system includes 120 parks covering 13,000 acres of land. Frederick Law Olmsted – famous for his work on New York City’s Central Park – designed 17 parks and six parkways within Louisville's park system. Louisville is home to one of only four completed Olmsted systems in the world.
Big Four Bridge
This decommissioned railroad bridge was converted into a pedestrian bridge linking Louisville’s Waterfront Park to Jeffersonville, Indiana over the Ohio River.

Central Park
Central Park is home to the Old Louisville Visitor Center and Kentucky Shakespeare, as well as tennis courts, walking paths and playgrounds.

Cherokee Park
Cherokee Park offers an array of outdoor activities, including archery ranges, basketball courts, golf courses, multi-use fields and more.

Falls of the Ohio State Park

Iroquois Park
Iroquois Park features an old growth forest, panoramic views at the North Overlook and an amphitheater that accommodates 2,366 people.

The Parklands of Floyd’s Fork
The Parklands comprises four major parks covering nearly 4,000 acres featuring walking paths, canoe launches, recreational fields and more.

Seneca Park
Seneca Park is home to ballfields, basketball courts, golf courses, multi-use fields, tennis courts, paved walking paths and natural trailheads.

Waterfront Botanical Gardens
The gardens feature a variety of plant species from the region, sculptures, fountains, classrooms and more.
