Do I have to attend orientation?
YES, all degree-seeking transfer students must complete orientation. The information you will get through orientation will be the foundation you need to meet with your academic adviser. The orientation will cover details related to campus services, academic support services and UofL academic technology. Also, during on-campus orientation you will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from across campus. Student organizations, campus services, financial aid, academic support, and the Cardinal Card Office will all be included in the schedule for the day.
What does the on-campus orientation day include?
Orientation check-in begins at 8:00 am outside of Floyd Theater at the Student Activities Center (SAC). A light breakfast and lunch is included in the program. Attendance for the entire day is required. Generally the program will conclude with an optional campus tour at 1:00 pm. However, after 2:00 pm, advising will be available for A&S and Education students. All other students will need to contact their academic unit to schedule an advising appointment. If you make an appointment for the day of your orientation session, it must be after 2:00 pm. Here is the link to find your advising unit's contact info - Advising Offices .
When can I register for classes?
Upon completion of your orientation requirement and meeting with your academic adviser you will be permitted to register for classes with your academic level cohort.
