Post-Graduate Year 4

Fourth year residents attend weekly didactics on Monday afternoons from 1:00 until 5:00. Education regarding neurological conditions and special topics in psychopharmacology is covered. Continued seminars regarding psychotherapy occur during this year, with a special course devoted to the topic of termination. Recognizing that this is the final year in a resident’s training, courses focus on further preparing residents for their future endeavors. Themes include ethics and business issues in psychiatry. In addition, there is time allotted specifically for board review with faculty assisting the residents in organizing a course that will reinforce their knowledge to sit for board certification through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
