Join Get Healthy Now for a challenging, dynamic and fast-paced boot camp class! Lead by Valerie Cecil, ACSM certified personal trainer and boot camp instructor, the 45 minute workouts will consist largely of exercises using one's own body weight (squats, lunges, pushups, mountain climbers, burpees...you get the idea!) with running, skipping and jumping mixed in. Exercises can easily be modified, so come on out regardless of your skill level! We will burn calories, build strength and endurance, and have a great time!

Class Information:

  • Dates: March 20-April 26

  • Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

  • Time/Level: 7-7:45 a.m.
    • Location: All classes meet in Crawford Gym (gymnasium)

    What is bootcamp?

    While the name "bootcamp" may be a fad, the workout itself should be a mainstay in everyone's exercise routine. The idea behind bootcamp is to do high intensity circuit training to keep your heart rate elevated and your muscles constantly challenged. A circuit typically consists of 8-10 different dynamic exercises, all targeting various muscle groups, that each participant rotates through. In between, we may throw in additional challenges, such as lunging, burpees, pushups....who knows! Each workout will consist of a warm-up, strength training and cardio, and a cool-down.

    How do I sign up?
