UofL is awarded Platinum Achievement by American Heart Association
For the past four years, the American Heart Association has named UofL a Gold Award "fit friendly employer." This year, UofL secured the Platinum recognition, by demonstrating at least one Start!-specified behavior change, achieving at least one Start!-specified cost savings outcome and achieving a documented positive return on investment. Get Healthy Now, with support from President James Ramsey and Office of External Affairs, applies annually for the designation on behalf of the university. The University of Louisville has been chosen as the Healthiest Employer in the 5,000-employee-plus category of Business First's inaugural Greater Louisville's Healthiest Employers awards program. The winners in each of the five categories were announced at a luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 18, in the Cascade Ballroom at the Louisville International Convention Center.
