Dear Colleagues:

Thank you for your support with the 2010 Champions 4 Her 5 K Walk, Run and Festival!

The weather conditions brought unexpected challenges for all, but each of us crossed the finish line feeling good about our efforts to improve the well being of woman and girls in Louisville.

It was an honor to walk with each of you, and especially UofL's Champion 4 Her, Paige Battcher (above left).  Paige will continue in her efforts to champion the well-being women....especially her sister Grace, who has been challenged since birth with a congenital heart defect.   To learn more, read about Paige's continues efforts here!

Event Overview

The Norton Women's Pavilion Champions 4 Her Walk, Run & Festival brings together thirteen organizations in our community working towards one common goal -- to improve the health and financial well-being of women and girls in Kentuckiana.

We invite the community to come together on a single day in June to walk, run, raise awareness, raise funds, and to celebrate the spirit of possibility.

Participating teams and individuals will be able to run or walk a 5K, enjoy a festival on the Waterfront, and decide exactly how their fundraising efforts are distributed among the following thirteen beneficiary partner organizations:

• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana
• The Center for Women and Families
• Family Scholar House
• Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana
• Junior League of Louisville
• Maryhurst
• Mom's Closet Resource Center
• University of Louisville
• University of Louisville Athletics
• West Louisville Girls Choir
• Women 4 Women
• Women for Habitat
• Women's Foundation of Southern Indiana

Together, we're working to boost the quality of life for local women and families.
