Confident Cycling Class

This 10-hour course, taught in 4 sessions, covers traffic safety principles, selecting and sizing a bicycle, doing basic bicycle maintenance, fitting helmets, fixing flat tires, pre¬venting crashes and falls, riding safely in darkness and bad weather, choosing routes, and riding safely in groups. Through riding and other hands-on activities, it teaches skills needed for safe bicy¬cling in everyday conditions and emergencies. Participants must bring a helmet and bicycle to each class. These free classes are presented by Bicycling for Louisville, with funding from the Bike Louisville program of Louisville Metro government.
