The CEHD Office of Research provides leadership in research funding support, professional development, graduate studies, and technology expertise for faculty, staff and students. Research at the College of Education and Human Development impacts schools and universities, business, mental health, physical health, communities, sport industries, and military leadership and training.

Office of Educator Development and Clinical Practice
The Office of Educator Development and Clinical Practice focuses on field experience and student teaching placements for pre-service teacher preparation programs, as well as serving as a regional site for the Kentucky Teacher Internship Program (KTIP).
Centers at the CEHD
The centers within the CEHD have a specialized mission related to research, service, instruction or a combination of these activities. A center may also have several initiatives that fall within its specialization. There are currently eight centers within the CEHD whose research ranges from Career and Technical Education, to Early Childhood Interdisciplinary research.
Special Projects at the CEHD
Special Projects provide research and support for specific initiatives such as the Future Faculty Program, Louisville Writing Project and the Minority Teacher Recruitment Project.
