Dr. James B. Edwards

Dr. Edwards graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1955. He then attended the Graduate Medical School of the University of Pennsylvania and completed a two-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Edwards has worked a successful career as an oral surgeon, South Carolina state senator and governor, U.S. Presidential cabinet member and Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) president.
Dr. Edwards is a member of numerous professional and civic organizations; he holds 11 honorary degrees and served on 14 corporate boards, on five foundation boards, and several advisory boards.
