Cultural Center Reservation Policies
The Cultural Center invites Recognized Student Organizations and University Departments to use our space for your meeting and event needs. There are three (3) meeting spaces that can be reserved. A description of each is listed below. All rooms are equipped with A/V technology to conduct presentations using a laptop computer (not provided). Before your organization or department can use the space, a representative of your organization must sign the Cultural Center Usage Agreement and return to the Cultural Center.
In order to reserve space in the Center:
1. Check calendar for room availability for requested date and time at: http://louisville.edu/culturalcenter/reservations/reservation-calendar/month
2. Submit request via "Room Reservation Request Form" that can be found at: Room Reservation Request Form
3. You will receive a confirmation email regarding your reservation within 24 hours of receipt.
4. You are allowed to make reservations for the semester and/or year.
*Note: You may be asked to change room locations to better utilize space within the Center (i.e., if your organization has only 8 people in the MPR, we may move you to the conference room to accommodate a larger group in the MPR)
Available Meeting Rooms
Multi-Purpose Room (MPR)
The MPR is the Center’s largest space and can hold up to 40-50 people comfortably when configured theater style. If needed, you can also use up to four meeting tables in varying configurations around the room. This space is perfect for large assembly meetings and retreats, lectures, workshops, testing, classes, lunches and presentations. There is a whiteboard, projector, screen, and speakers for use in the room.
Conference Room
Ideal for Executive Council/Board meetings, the Conference Room holds 12-15 people and includes a large meeting table, a large whiteboard, 50” flat-screen HDTV, VCR/DVD, and room to have light refreshments. This space is also great for small planning retreats or study groups.
Student Lounge
The NEW student lounge is a place where students can come relax in between classes to hang out, read a book or magazine from our collection, hold small study groups or get-togethers, check email or do coursework on one of our four (4) computer terminals, or watch the latest CARDS sporting event on our 50” flat-screen HDTV. There is also a VCR/DVD, stereo and small whiteboard in the lounge. The lounge can comfortably hold up to 25 students.
