The Commission on the Status of Women (COSW) exists to promote gender equity at the University of Louisville.

COSW Sponsorship Priorities

Priority will be given to requests that further the goals of COSW:

• to support initiatives that make the University more welcoming and supportive of women;

• to support initiatives that increase dialog and promote gender equity within the University and
  surrounding community; and

• to promote the recruitment and retention of women.

COSW Sponsorship Guidelines

Sponsorship funding is limited to University of Louisville faculty, staff, students, and groups.

Priority will be given to any individual, group, project, department, etc. that has received not received COSW funding in the past.

All sponsorship funds must be used within the fiscal year awarded.  All requests are limited to a term of one (1) fiscal year.

All sponsorship funds will be paid upon completion of event, travel, program, etc. by Inter- University Transfer (IUT).

All requests should fall within the COSW priority areas as listed above and should clearly state how the end result of the sponsorship furthers the University of Louisville gender equity goals.

All award recipients of COSW funding will be required to submit a brief report or attend a COSW meeting to briefly talk about your sponsorship and experience(s) upon completion of the funded event.
