2004-2005 Goals

  1. Work with campus constituencies to sustain the Prevention, Education, Advocacy,  on Campus and in the Community (PEACC) Program, and work with the President, Provost and other key University administrators to provide Continuing Annual Requirement (CAR) funding for this critically important program.   2. Support the President and the College of Education & Human Development to establish and implement a University Child Development Center and monitor its implementation.[Childcare Committee]
  3. Evaluate and monitor campus climate as it pertains to safety and security issues including partnering with the DPS Advisory Committee to review the effectiveness of newly implemented safety initiatives, and issues related to officer recruitment and retention.   4. Seek opportunities to support and engage our statewide partners (the Kentucky Commission on Women, the UK President’s Commission on Women  and others) to focus on issues of mutual concern. [Chair/ Vice-Chair in consultation with President]
  5. Explore and evaluate Deyta Systems and other institutional data on faculty and staff regarding hiring, retention, job satisfaction and promotion to ensure continuing efforts toward an equitable work environment. [Assessment Committee in collaboration with Faculty Climate and Staff Climate]
  6. Appoint an ad-hoc committee to monitor compliance with the Sexual Harassment Training Program for employees.  Partner with SGA and the Provost to determine appropriate sexual harassment training methodology for students. [Ad Hoc Committee on Sexual Harassment in collaboration with Student Climate]
  7. Review the progress made in addressing the 1994 Report of the Task Force on the Status of Women, and identify newly emergent issues affecting the status of women at the University. [Executive Committee]
