Anne Cooper Dobbins is a Louisville native. Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the country, including The Library of Congress, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Speed Museum, and the Poindexter Gallery in New York City. She is a graduate of the Washington University School of Fine Arts, where she met and studied with Stephen Pace. They remained in touch, became friends and later rented the Pace's summer house in Bucks County, PA, as the Pace's began summering in Maine. Later Cooper Dobbins and her husband, Sandy Weiss, re-located there permanently.
Stephen Pace is most commonly associated with the New York Abstract Expressionist movement. He has exhibited his work in some of the nation's most important galleries and museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
