Academic Advising

by e0fitz01 last modified Oct 24, 2011 10:19 AM

Academic advisers at the University of Louisville welcome you to the cardinal community and look forward to meeting you!

After you have been admitted to the university and your transcripts have been evaluated by the Office of Transfer Articulation, you will need to make an appointment to meet with an academic adviser.  To learn how to make an advising appointment: louisville.edu/advising. Also learn information about Spring 2012 advising.

To prepare for this meeting, we recommend you become familiar with the online schedule of courses and the online catalog.

Academic advising is an important part of your undergraduate experience, and when you take full advantage of the advising opportunities offered to you, your chances of being a successful student and graduating expeditiously are increased.  Be proactive and learn how to contact your academic adviser.  Make an advising appointment each semester before the crunch time of early registration. ULEARN, University of Louisville Electronic Advising Resources Network provides important academic advising information to students and will put you in touch with the resources you will need to be successful:  www.louisville.edu/advising.

Academic advisers are ready to assist you in preparing your academic plan and in learning how to have a successful undergraduate experience. Best wishes as you begin your academic career at the University of Louisville.

Sincerely,

Janet M. Spence
Executive Director
Undergraduate Advising Practice
Undergraduate Affairs/Office of the University Provost
