Transfer Applicants
Transfer students have attended a college other than UofL (not including dual credit completed during high school).
- Were you previously enrolled at UofL in a degree-seeking program? This doesn't include dual credit completed during high school. If so, apply as a returning student instead of a transfer student.
- Do you have a bachelor's degree and are pursuing a second bachelor's degree? If so, please apply as either a transfer student or returning student (depending on if you have previous credit from UofL). You will be classified as a second-degree senior.
- Second-degree seniors need to submit their official-degree bearing transcripts after applying to UofL. If you were a UofL student in the past, we will have your UofL transcript on file.
- After you have been admitted, you can meet with an academic advisor who will provide more info on how your credits can apply toward a second bachelor's degree.
- Who is not a second-degree senior?
- Students interested in a master's, professional or doctoral degree. Please visit Graduate Admissions for more information.
- Students who have earned an associate's degree only and not a bachelor's degree. You will still apply as either a transfer or returning student.
Transfer students need to complete a Take Flight Application and request all official transcripts from every institution attended. For directions on how to request transcripts, please see our FAQs.
- The Fall 2026 application is open. Apply today!
- The 2027 application opens on Aug. 1, 2026.
