Spring Term 

  • Deadline for J.B. Speed School of Engineering: October 1
  • Priority deadline for all other majors: November 1

Summer Term

  • Deadline for J.B. Speed School of Engineering Deadline: March 1
  • Priority deadline for all other majors: April 1

Fall Term 

  • Deadline for J.B. Speed School of Engineering: March 1
  • Priority deadline for all other majors: July 1

Transfer Student

Transfer Applicants with less than 24 transferable hours of credit:

  1. Complete the Application for Undergraduate Admission.
  2. Pay your application fee of $50 (non-refundable). View the application fee waiver requirements.
  3. Submit your Test Scores. Either ACT (American College Test) test scores or SAT (Educational Testing Service) test scores may be submitted. Test results may be submitted from the testing agency or may appear on the official high school or college transcript.
  4. Submit your official high school transcript(s) including date of graduation. Submit your official college transcript(s)*.

*An official transcript must also be submitted from EACH college or university attended even if credit was not earned. It is the responsibility of the student to contact each individual college or university attended concerning transcript request and fees. All University of Louisville transcripts will automatically be submitted with this application.

Transfer Applicants with more than 24 transferable hours of credit:

Adult Student (22 or Older)

  1. If you are an adult student who has never attended college or has fewer than 24 transferable credits, see instructions in the above section. You may also view requirements for each academic unit.
  2. If you are an adult student with 24 or more transferable credits, see instructions in the above section. You may also view requirements for each academic unit.
  3. If you are not currently enrolled in a degree program at University of Louisville and you want to take one or two courses for credit as a non-degree student, Continuing Studies may be the best option for you.
  4. If you are at least 25 years old, have been out of school two or more years, have completed 80 or more college credits but you have not earned a degree, you may qualify for Project Graduate.

* Students in the following categories should complete the Non-degree Student Application: post-baccalaureate, visitor from another college or university, high school visitor (including all dual credit students), continuing studies and certificate students. No account needed to apply.

    Returning UofL Student

    If you have not attended any other college since leaving UofL, have been out less than two years, and wish to return to the same academic unit, you may be eligible to complete a Request to Re-enroll form. Please check with your advising center. Students who were visitors, students who were academically suspended, or students who attended another university or college since leaving UofL must reapply.

    1. Complete the Application for Undergraduate Admission
    2. Pay your non-refundable application fee of $50 (only if you attended another institution since your last enrollment at UofL).
    3. Submit your official transcript(s): official transcripts from EACH college or university that has been attended since enrollment at UofL.

    If you are applying for readmission because you were academically suspended from UofL or another university or college, a petition form is also required. Deadlines vary from unit to unit.
