Transcription from UofL Waives Ticket Charges for Human Trafficking Conference on Wednesday
From WHAS-11, January 15, 2013
(Claudia - on Camera): The University of Louisville is removing the $15 ticket charges from tomorrow evenings conference on human trafficking. Its called Modern Day Slavery: Breaking the Chains sponsored by UofLs Women 4 Women student chapter. Among the guest speakers for the event Theresa Flores who was coerced into trafficking and slavery while living in an upper-middle class suburb of Detroit. At Just 15 years old, she was drugged, raped, and tortured for two years. But stories like Flores are more common than you think. Thats why students at UofL wanted to raise awareness of human trafficking.

(Emma Chapman - UofL Junior): Trafficking does happen around the world, even in Louisville, Kentucky. Louisville is actually a hub of trafficking, and it could be literally happening in your backyard.

(Claudia - on Camera): The conference is tomorrow night from six until eight at the Red Barn on the Belknap Campus. The $15 ticket fee has been waived. Weve got more information on our website WHAS-11 dot com, just click on the On TV tab.
