DEI & Leadership Development Manager, Leadership Louisville Center

An inclusive leader in the field of community leadership developmentcommitted to empowering diverse organizations to become leaders in today’s best practices.

Nubia Bennett is a DEI and Leadership Development Manager at Leadership Louisville Center. Born and raised primarily in the West End of Louisville KY in a family of artists and educators--she moves through the world on the belief that "where there is community, there is both power, pleasure and magic", so you will always find her where the people reside. She is an educator by training and experience, with a specific focus on learning and development, civic engagement, social justice youth development and pleasure activism. She is a curator of things, people, and experiences and is guided by her enthusiastic "yes" and firm, boundary-setting "no's". She moonlights as a bartender at Trouble Bar, serves on the Board of Trustees at Olmstead Park Conservancy, the Board of Directors at the Neighborhood House, and serves as an ambassador and occasional model for Sensual Bliss Life, which is a local femme-centered lifestyle brand that focuses on inspiring confidence and sisterhood. When she is not out sprinkling her sparkle in the community, she is busy raising her teenage son, baby daughter, creating art out of food, drinks, photography, flowers, and glittery things she finds along her pleasure journey.
