Morgan Blair
2015 Fulbright Scholar
Morgan Blair, a 2014 UofL graduate, has earned a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant grant to Turkey. She is now working on a master’s degree in English at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass., and has earned a spot with Teach For America in 2016-2018 to teach English at a Mississippi high school.
The U.S. Student Fulbright Program, a federally sponsored international, educational and cultural exchange, recognizes academic merit and leadership potential. The program promotes mutual understanding between U.S. residents and people in more than 155 countries worldwide. Fulbrights are among the most prestigious awards in higher education.
“This opportunity signifies for me not only a continuance of the diverse, sociocultural engagements that continue to shape my learning experience. More than that, it is a testimony to the hard work and perseverance by the various professors, mentors, family members and co-workers who have encouraged me,” Blair said.
