Senior Megg Ward has received the Mary Churchill Humphrey Memorial Scholarship, a prize for ongoing, interdisciplinary studies in the United Kingdom or Ireland. Ward will spend the 2015-2016 academic year at University of Birmingham in England, studying Shakespeare and Renaissance drama.

The Mary Churchill Humphrey Memorial Scholarship goes to academically distinguished College of Arts and Sciences seniors, graduate students and recent graduates.

“This award will provide me with the means of studying Shakespeare at the source in the most prestigious Shakespearean research institute in the world, an opportunity I would never be able to afford on my own. This award is truly a dream come true,” Ward said.

Collegiate experience

    Graduates in May from UofL’s  College of Arts and Sciences with theatre arts, humanities and liberal studies majors and a philosophy minor

    Hallmark Award; Etscorn Undergraduate Research Award (for travel to Italy); English Speaking Union Scholarship (to the University of Cambridge)
