Students awarded Best Paper and Bullitt Scholarship at the 2017 Bullitt Lecture in Astronomy
Best Paper in Astronomy Award
Both Brianna Mills and Samir Kusmic received Best Paper awards in astronomy for their outstanding research papers entitled "Looking for Dust-Scattering Light Echoes," and "Measuring the Sizes and Shapes of Galaxies" respectively.
Bullitt Scholarship
Brianna Mills was also awarded the 2017 Bullitt Scholarship for her academic excellence in physics and astronomy.
Both students are astronomy/astrophysics majors and active members in SWiPA.
