How Transfer Pathways Help

The following bachelor’s programs are all available fully online at UofL. Some of the degrees have “pathways”—recommended coursework you can complete at KCTCS that seamlessly transfers when you are ready to start at UofL. When you plan your KCTCS coursework using a transfer pathway as a guide, you can complete your associates degree with an official transcript that is fully general education certified and that meets prerequisites for the bachelor’s degree you plan to pursue at the University of Louisville.

KCTCS courses indicated in the pathway are accepted at UofL and count toward completion of your bachelor’s degree. When you follow the pathway, no additional general education (Cardinal Core) courses are needed.

Transfer pathways lead to an Associate of Art, Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science degree from Kentucky Community and Technical College Systems and set you up for a successful bachelor’s degree experience at UofL.

Start taking advantage of UofL’s ULtra program today!

What is ULtra?

ULtra is a service for Jefferson College students planning on transferring to the University of Louisville. By becoming an ULtra student, you’re awarded the benefits outlined below, will be able to take classes at UofL while still a JCTC student – but pay the JCTC cost – and be guaranteed admission to UofL once you’ve completed 24 transferrable credit hours (note: you must still meet program requirements such as GPA and prerequisites).

What are the benefits of the ULtra program?

ULtra provides students with an opportunity to speak with an advisor to ensure the coursework being taken are the right classes for your UofL intended major. You will also receive a UofL student ID, better known as the Cardinal Card. With the Cardinal Card, you will be able to access UofL’s educational resources like REACH, ride the TARC for free, buy discounted tickets to basketball and football games (all other sporting events will be free), use the Student Recreation Center and even live in UofL affiliated housing!

Who is qualified for ULtra?

At this time, ULtra is only available to students who aspire to earn a bachelor’s degree from UofL but would like (or need) to start their degree at Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) for financial or other reasons.

Want to talk to someone about ULtra in-person?

ULtra has an office on the downtown JCTC campus and supports students throughout the transfer process.
