Graduate Student Appreciation Week

Announcing the 2017 Graduate Student Appreciation Week November 13 - November 17!

The 2017 GSAW events have not yet been announced, but Check the calendar below to see the 2016 Calendar! Check back in late October for 2017 events.

Graduate Student Appreciation Week was first established through the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students organization in 1993, and since that time has slowly been introduced around the country. While the School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies coordinates the week of events, we’re excited that so many offices and departments on both the Belknap and Healthy Sciences are taking advantage of the opportunity to recognize their own students or students with whom they regularly have contact. Lunches, coffee or cider breaks, football ticket raffle, or tokens of appreciation are all a part of the week, and we hope graduate students will take a few minutes to enjoy the recognition.

Graduate student life can be incredibly challenging, and graduate students are often a neglected population in the university community. Graduate Student Appreciation Week gives us an opportunity to recognize and celebrate graduate students, while supporting their continued success.

The School of Public Health and Information Sciences invites all  SPHIS graduate students to enjoy hot apple cider and tasty muffins today, on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, beginning at 3pm in SPHIS, room 011. Faculty and staff are welcome to stop by and mingle with our students.

You can enter for the drawing by attending one of the SIGS-sponsored events that happen THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
