Neil Gallacher
Director, Dental Informatics
Originally from Liverpool, England, I have been in IT for over 15 years, ¾’s of which have been spent supporting IT needs on the worlds Oceans, working for a Cruise line. My ship life career began outside of it and a good few years before too, starting in 1999. I landed in the US after finishing up on ships in 2017, and eventually began working here at the Dental School as one of the Server admin techs managing the virtual environment. I moved in to the Role of Server Manager in September 2018 and to Interim Director in April 2019. I was lucky enough to land the role on a permanent basis in November 2020 and have been very lucky to have the team I have, supporting the schools IT needs and growth.
Outside of work, my passions are my family, my football team, Liverpool FC, yes that’s football, cooking and the odd bit of DIY.
Debbie Massey
Program Assistant Sr.
I have worked for the School of Dentistry Dental Informatics Department for the past three years and I greatly enjoy working with the Faculty, Staff, and Students. More than likely I will be the first person you see upon entering the office and I have a passion to help you get the answers you need for your technical questions.
Desktop Support responds to requests for assistance in troubleshooting some-900 computing devices, including desktop, notebook and thin client computers. Audio/visual support is also provided, maintaining lectern computers and projectors in our classrooms.

Application Support carefully guards each of the software-based applications supporting the many interactions between ULSD faculty, staff, students and patients. Applications such as axiUm and MiPACS are configured, tweaked and updated with new enhancements. Ongoing training is provided through downloadable “how-to” documents and organized training classes, whether to a large group or in the Dental Informatics training lab. Support of Oracle and Microsoft SQL database instances and servers keeps track of our valuable data used in creating reports and data analysis.
