OIID Welcomes New Faculty Members, Dr. Matthew Ramsey and Dr. Kimberly Jasmer

The Oral Immunology and Infectious Diseases (OIID) department is excited to welcome our new faculty members, Dr. Matthew Ramsey, and Dr. Kimberly Jasmer.

Dr. Matthew Ramsey

Dr. Ramsey's research delves into the spatial relationships between microbes, exploring their probable interactions as commensal species essential for maintaining homeostasis in healthy microbiome communities. His work seeks to uncover ways to leverage this knowledge to preserve healthy microbial communities and ultimately prevent or treat oral diseases.

Dr. Kimberly Jasmer

Dr. Jasmer's research focuses on diseases affecting the salivary glands, with a particular emphasis on nucleotide-mediated communication between epithelial and immune cells. Her work aims to translate these findings into novel therapies for salivary gland disorders, contributing to the advancement of treatments in this vital area of health.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Ramsey and Dr. Kimberly join our department, and we look forward to the exciting contributions they will bring to our school and the field.
